01
The process
How PULSE produces an assessment.
Every watch starts with an area and a decision. Collection, assessment and review stay tied to that requirement.
01
Define a watch
Define a watch
Draw an area or choose a place. Confirm what the watch covers before collection starts.
Example watch
Illustrative watch boundary
An illustrative area of interest. The watch covers geography, not named individuals. Basemap: Natural Earth.
02
Set requirements
Set requirements
Agree your priority intelligence requirements, audience and delivery schedule. A useful question names the decision the assessment must support.
Example requirement
Which road restrictions will affect scheduled deliveries in the next week?
03
Analyst review
Analyst review
AI supports collection and drafting. An AIC analyst reviews the judgements, evidence and limits before release. Unsupported judgements are held for review.
Before release
The analyst checks the evidence, probability, horizon and confidence. Unsupported judgements remain on hold.
04
Delivery
Delivery
Read a dated edition in the app or through the agreed delivery channel. Each release records its cut-off, version and handling requirements.
In each delivery
Secure links are the default for email. Available integrations and handling restrictions are agreed during scoping.
Discuss the area you need to assess.
Tell AIC which area you monitor and the decision you need to support. The briefing covers review, handling and delivery requirements.
